1) Gummy Bear Popsicle: The adorable Hunny-bunnies love gummy bears beary much. And, their fondness for colourful, jelly-belly bears is the inspiration for this gummy bear popsicle.
- Order gummy bear candies from a trusted online bakery ingredient shop.
- In a mould, put the fruit cum candies and soda
- You can substitute soda with a cold beverage of sprite
- Insert the stick and let it freeze.
- Once completely frozen, take out and enjoy.
- Only two ingredients, a few hours, and you and your kids are ready to lick it!
2) Berry Soda Popsicle: Summers won’t be happy summers until you indulge your taste buds into the sweetness and fruitiness of berries. Also, this is one of the flavoursome ways to make your kids enjoy summer fruits.
- Chop strawberries, raspberries, or any seasonal fruits. You can also go for the ones that are savoured like Jamun, mango, kiwi, or the ones you have at home.
- Now, blend the chopped fruits in a blender for the pulp. Keep aside a few chunks of the chopped fruits.
- Take the popsicle mould, pour the fruit juice, add a few chunks, and fill the cavity with soda. If you are running out of the soda, water will do.
- Set the mould into the refrigerator and let it freeze.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala while serving for the desi feels.
3) Fruity Creamy Popsicle: Summertime is all about ice-cream time. Ice-creams are an excellent way to melt the summer blues with creamy and sweet hues. Add fruits because a punch of nutritiousness won’t hurt much.
- Make a fruit puree by squeezing out the pulp from the fruits. Fruits like mangoes, oranges, guava are rich in pulp; hence idyllic. You can use a strainer for this purpose.
- In a bowl, add yoghurt and unsweetened coconut milk. Blend it both until smooth. Yoghurt and coconut milk will give to the popsicle the much-needed creamy texture and sweet flavour. You can add sugar if you like a high dose of sweetness.
- Now, mix the fruit puree with the yoghurt and coconut milk concoction.
- Pour the final fruity and creamy blend into the mould, insert the stick, and freeze.
4) Chocolate Popsicle: Anything that has chocolate in it, tastes absolute good, like chocolate popsicles. Do away with chocolate bars because summers are all about chocolate-ice creams.
- Melt chocolate in a bowl
- Now in a pan of coconut milk or full-cream milk (you can go with the milk of your choice) add the melted chocolate, stir until combined well.
- When you get a thick consistency, turn off the flame, and let it cool.
- Pour the mix into the moulds, place the stick, and set it to freeze.
- While serving, coat the popsicle sticks with colourful sprinkles, and it is ready to be eaten.
5) Lemonade Popsicle: Lemonade popsicles make us believe that sweetness and sourness can taste delicious. With just three ingredients, this popsicle recipe can be made in no time.
- In a large bowl, spout mix lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric (for colour) and honey (for sweetness).
- Combine well, and you can add edible flowers, fruits, or mint leaves if you like.
- Pour the mixture into an ice-pop mould, insert the stick, and let it freeze.
- Do not take out, until firm.
Pro Tip:
Removing Frozen Popsicles from the Mould: Take the mould out from the freezer once the ice-pops are hard and firm. Now, run the mould under normal water for 5-10 minutes. Slowly and carefully remove each popsicle stick.
